    Description

    On the island of Selaön in the lake Mälaren

    This charming holiday home has its roots in the year 1738 and is located on the largest island, a continental lake has in Europe, namely Selaön. The island has a bridge as a connection to the mainland, making the arrival not too difficult. Already 500 meters away from the holiday home you can go swimming, fishing or boating in the third-largest lake, the Mälaren.
    The house has two bedrooms, a smaller and a larger one. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with dining place for 8 persons. The living room has an open fire, comfortable furnishing, TV and stereo unit.
    There are two separate toilets with shower as well as washing machine and drier. All this is placed at a large property, bordering in three directions on meadows and forest sections. Here you will find fruit trees, garden furniture and grill, and often the sun is really shining from the morning to the evening.
    You are here in the countryside in a beautiful nature, a rich animal life, small churches, runes, farms, country roads winding through the scenery as well as nice cycle pathes and hiking trails.
    On Stallarholmen (11 km away) you will find the nearest supermarket, restaurants, pubs, baker´s, small shops and filling station. There you can also rent bicycles.
    If you are already on Stallarholmen and it is just by chance the first week in July, you should not forget to visit the "Viking Festival" which takes place once a year at this date. But also the castle of Gripsholm or a boat tour to Stockholm would be an interesting alternative for a trip.
